Sugar cane farm in Ayr North Queensland
We are 7.5k off the main highway it is a quiet shady park with water and some power, we do not have any toilets or showers so travellers have to be self contained . This farm is a working sugar cane farm so visitors will be able to see cane harvesting and hauling, every visitor comes to see the burning of the cane fields this is something that travellers from all around the world come to experience.
We have a bonfire area that doubles as a barbeque camp oven pit this can happen every night if visitors wish (no restrictions on lighting fires) if there is any travellers who like to fish this is one of the top mud crab and barramundi areas in Australia .
There is around 25 camping sights right on the bank of Sheep Station Creek with 35 mango trees for shade, the area is all grassed and mowed with very little noise. The other feature that visitors come to see is the bird life that frequents the water way around the farm, there has been over 50 different types of bird that live and breed around this area. It is quite a unique area for taking some very good photos.
